Artistic Adoration...

I have to confess that I have a little crush on photographs taken in art galleries. One of my favorite memories of Chris is the time we went to Tretchikoff's exhibition. Gosh, we had soooo much fun.  In my book, a trip to an art gallery (finished of with a cup of coffee in the beautiful Cape Town gardens) is the perfect date!!!!

Today I am thankful for...(pizza, friendship and a beautiful view)

Today was a beautiful Friday so a friend and I decided to celebrate it with pizza and a view....

....at our favorite little restaurant called "Die Blikkie" (The Tin)

For nine months I called the West Coast my home....

...and I have to admit that although I am a city girl, it has crawled deep into my heart.

Soon I will move back to beautiful Cape Town but for now I want to make the most of my last few weeks here and soak up all the sunshine and beauty which is so plentiful in this part of the world.

Live is good!

Today I am thankful for....

Ever since the first time I sat foot in Cape Town, I knew that it was "home" to me.
I cant really pinpoint it but there is something about this city that weakens my knees...

...The people, the building, the atmosphere, shops, parks...I LOVE it all.

Last week, I received the awesome news that I got a dreamy teaching job in my beloved CPT and next year I will be moving back.
I couldn't be happier!

God is incredibly faithful. I've been praying about Cape Town for a while now and not only did God bless me with an awesome teaching job in my favorite place in the entire world, but also an incredible oopportunity to work for Him. Yes, soon I will be a Tourism teacher (whoop whoop) at a school for deaf children. I must admit that being a teacher at a school for  children with special need might be a bit of challenge.  Korea did prepare me for a communication barrier but I am not entirely sure how it will compare to my new situation. What I do know is that God will hold my hand the entire way and I faithfully hang onto His promise:

For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear;I will help you. Isaiah 41:13
