A weekend in Pictures # 13

This weekend was of the chilled-out kind. Days were filled with grapefruit breakfasts, mountain hiking, lots of photo-taking, thrift shopping and naps. It was lovely.

Yeah, its pretty clear!

All evidence shows that winter is finally here!

A Weekend in Pictures # 12

This past weekend we packed our car to the brim and escaped to the coldest little town in the Karoo. Here we huddled up in our colorful house whilst surrounding by cold, dry dessert. It was magical. When the morning sun warmed the earth, long walks were taken. The rest of time was spend planning meals, cooking it on the coal stove and then gobbling up our tasty creations; playing board games by candle light, stargazing, vintage treasure hunt shopping, playing hide and seek and re-discovering the absolute pleasures of family and friendship.

When we came  back, I realised I left my heart in Sutherland.

30 Things before Thirty # 4 (Learning the art of taking good pictures)

I am starting with a course in photography today and I couldn't be more thrilled. (Groupon, I love you!!!!!).....

No more blurry photos (like this one, which I kind of like), over-exposure and bad composition!

Oh, how very excited I am!!!
